If you take care of your gear, it will take care of you - even with serious mileage under the hood.
By following these care procedures, you’ll be confident when that heavy weather front blows over the horizon.
*Please Note: Before washing your garment, zip the front, pits and pockets and be sure to fasten all flaps and straps.*
WASH
Machine wash on a warm permanent press cycle (105°F) with a small amount of liquid detergent. Rinse twice, and minimize spinning to reduce creasing. Don’t use powder detergents, fabric softeners, stain removers, or bleach. Don’t wash with heavily soiled clothing.
DRY
You can either line dry or tumble dry it on a warm, gentle cycle. Once it’s dry, tumble dry the garment for 20 minutes to reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric. You can do this anytime you notice the water repellency needs a boost.
NOTE: Do not tumble dry GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY™ gear.
WATER REPELLENT FINISH
When water no longer beads up on your garment’s outer fabric, you can restore its DWR by using a topical spray or a wash-in DWR treatment. These treatments help restore the DWR on the outer shell fabric of the garment so that it remains water and stain repellent. We recommend that you use a pump-action spray rather than aerosol cans to reduce environmental impact.
IRONING
If you can’t tumble dry to reactivate the DWR, iron the dried garment on a gentle setting (warm, no steam) by placing a towel or cloth between the garment and the iron.
NO BLEACH
Chlorine-based bleaches could damage your product. Don’t use it.
